Richard L. Ferrante, Esq., Partner

Richard Ferrante is a graduate of the State University of New Yew York at Albany, Albany, NY. Mr. Ferrante received his law degree from the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in White Plains, New York.

Upon graduating law school, Mr. Ferrante was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office by District Attorney Carl Vergari. Mr. Ferrante was assigned to several different branch offices, including the Mount Vernon branch. In that capacity, Mr. Ferrante prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanors and felonies.

In 2001, Mr. Ferrante was a founding member of the law firm of Quinn, Ferrante, and Mellea. That firm had been General Counsel to the Yonkers Police Association, the largest police department in the County of Westchester, and the New York City Police Department Sergeant’s Benevolent Association. Additionally, Mr. Ferrante represented police officers in administrative and criminal proceedings in numerous jurisdictions. Mr. Ferrante has also represented Court Officers and Corrections Officers from the County and State systems in a variety of legal matters.

In 2015, Mr. Ferrante was a founding member of the law firm of Ferrante & Siddiqui, LLP, with Saad Siddiqui, Esq. Mr. Ferrante maintains a diversified practice including criminal, personal injury, negligence, and real estate law.

Mr. Ferrante is admitted to practice in New York State.


Saad Siddiqui, Esq., Partner

Saad Siddiqui is a graduate of the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York. Mr. Siddiqui received his law degree from the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Siddiqui, entered private practice during which time he represented clients in criminal and civil matters.

From 2009 to 2015, Mr. Siddiqui was Associate Counsel in the Criminal Division of the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County. In that capacity, he represented thousands of clients in all types of criminal cases ranging from criminal, traffic, and DWI offenses in local and village courts to murder and other serious felonies at the trial and appellate level.

In 2015, Mr. Siddiqui left the Legal Aid Society of Westchester County to become a founding Partner of the Law Firm of Ferrante & Siddiqui, LLP, with Richard Ferrante, Esq. Mr. Siddiqui maintains a diversified practice including criminal, immigration, family, and civil rights law.

Mr. Siddiqui serves on the Board of Directors of the Lower Hudson Valley Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union, the Criminal Justice Institute of the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and the Youth Shelter Program of Westchester County, an alternative to incarceration.

Recently, Mr. Siddiqui was selected by the Business Counsel of Westchester as a 2017 Rising Star – 40 Under 40 – an award honoring the accomplishments of 40 of Westchester’s young business leaders under age 40 who are making their mark in their chosen profession.

Mr. Siddiqui is admitted to practice in New York State, as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.


Philip J. Mellea, Esq., Of Counsel

Phillip J. Mellea is a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Mr. Mellea received his law degree from the Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law at Memphis State University. He received the American Jurisprudence Award for Business Planning.

Mr. Mellea is admitted to practice in New York State as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Additionally, Mr. Mellea holds a New York State Real Estate Broker License.

From 1989 to 1996, Mr. Mellea served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Mellea prosecuted thousands of cases ranging from violations to misdemeanors to serious felonies in various courts throughout Westchester County.

In 1996, Mr. Mellea was appointed Principal Law Secretary to the Honorable John M. Perone, Acting Supreme Court Justice of the New York State Supreme Court. In that capacity, Mr. Mellea drafted opinion letters and decisions on major felony cases and all major civil areas, including Article 78 Zoning matters, personal Injury, and contract disputes.

In 2001, Mr. Mellea joined the law firm of Quinn, Ferrante, and Mellea. In 2010 he opened up the Law Office of Philip J. Mellea and subsequently, in 2015, he became of counsel to Ferrante & Siddiqui LLP.

Mr. Mellea maintains a diversified practice, his major areas of practice are Union Representation (EEO Claims, Contract Negotiations, Grievance representation, Civilian Complaints Board, Internal charges, Trials and Hearings, Article 78 Proceedings), Federal Practice regarding Discrimination and all areas of Title VII and 1983 matters, Real Estate, Wills and Estate, Matrimonial/Family Law, Personal Injury resulting in awards for the injured parties, Workers Compensation, Wrongful termination cases, Arbitration and Commercial Litigation. Mr. Mellea has successfully handled foreclosure matters leading to modifications, short sales and having matter dismissed on technical issues. Additionally, Mr. Mellea handles Federal and State criminal cases of all levels.

Mr. Mellea is admitted to practice in New York State as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Additionally, Mr. Mellea holds a New York State Real Estate Broker License.

Since 1996 he has been an Off Ice Official with the National Hockey League. In his capacity as an NHL Official, Mr. Mellea is a Goal Judge, Game Time Keeper, Penalty Box Attendant, Games Statistics, and Commercial Coordinator.
